Siddharth Anand directed the 2024 Indian Hindi-language action film Fighter, which is based on a narrative he co-wrote with Ramon Chibb. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, the film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor and is the first part of a proposed aerial action franchise.[4][5]

The film was announced on January 10, 2021. The COVID-19 epidemic caused a delay in pre-production. Principal photography ultimately began in November 2022, with filming taking place on various schedules around Assam, Hyderabad, Jammu and Kashmir, and Mumbai, and finishing in late October. Real-life Indian Air Force cadets worked on the film.[6] The film makes references to the 2019 Pulwama assault, the 2019 Balakot airstrike, and the 2019 India-Pakistan border skirmishes.
Vishal-Shekhar composed the film's soundtrack album, which has five songs. Satchith Paulose is the film's cinematographer. The visual effects are managed by DNEG.

Fighter was originally intended to hit theaters on September 30, 2023, but due to production delays, the release date was pushed back to January 25, 2024, coinciding with Republic Day weekend. The film garnered mixed reviews and grossed ₹337.2 crore (US$42 million) globally, making it the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
